Traditionaly used in the homes by wives and mothers to treat their children and husbands for over the last 4,000 years. They would use this massage and healing technique for relaxation, tension, headaches and to encourage luxurious hair growth and improve circulation, using natural organic oils. It is now used professionally in the western world. The treatment was introduced to the UK by Mr. Maeda, who was here on holiday from India he went for a haircut in London and was very disappointed that no massage treatment was given. So he returned to train barbers in this art of Indian Head Massage. The treatment area includes massage and healing of the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face, using natural essential oils for their therapeutic effect.
